1(a)(i) Singapore has decided to build two integrated resorts (one in Marina South and another on Sentosa). What are the advantages that building these resorts bring to the local people and the economy? [6]
1(a)(ii) Are there any problems that you can foresee happening with the emergence of these two integrated resorts? Explain briefly why you think these problems may arise. [4]
1(b)(i) Taman Negara Nature Reserve is becoming one of the top tourist destinations for Eco-tourists. Identify which country it is found in. [1]
1(b)(ii) Briefly explain what eco-tourists do on such trips to Taman Negara. [2]
1(b)(iii) Why doesn’t Singapore focus on such forms of tourism? Explain what are the factors that stop us from developing ecotourism. [2]
